The Pursuit of Happiness (Ends Here)

Have you always wanted to be happy? Have you always dreamt of wearing a smile deep within you instead of just on the outside? Well, look no further. Below are 4 Top Tips for achieving that quintessential sparkle in your eyes and spring in your steps - without even falling in love with another human being!

1. Focus on the things that make you happy.

Why keep dwelling on the things that make you feel bad/sad/mad? It's not going to gain you anything except perhaps a migraine of epic proportions, so if you can't change it, move on and stop thinking about it.

2. Don't focus on what you don't have, focus on what you have.

The mistake that most of us make is comparing ourselves to the more fortunate. Try comparing yourself to the less fortunate for once, and you'll see that there are many things to be thankful for. If you think you have it bad, just remember that there are others out there who don't have it as good as you.

3. Sod all those judgmental, narrow-minded people.

Don't pay much attention - or better still, don't pay any attention at all - to what others think of you or say about you. Don't dignify them with a response or a reaction. Show them how little they and their little opinion mean to you by ignoring them completely. How you lead your life is your prerogative. Why you do something is none of anyone else's business. You don't owe anyone any explanation. Whatever people say/think about you or what you do is irrelevant. So just do whatever makes you happy and if people have a problem with it, it's theirs, not yours. I mean, why should you fret over them? Let God deal with them accordingly. One of the best pieces of advice I've received from my mother is this: "Jangan layan orang gila, nanti kita pun boleh jadi gila. Biar dia meroyan sorang2." (Don't entertain crazy people, lest we become crazy as well. Let them rave and rant all they want.)

4. Learn to let go. Don't dwell on the past.

Every single heartache, heartbreak, hurt, misdeed, wrongdoing - it's all in the past and there's nothing you can do to change it. Live in the moment, after all, life is too short to keep focusing on life's negativities. There is so much to live for, so why waste your time and energy on things you can't change?

So go on, go forth and be happy!

Think happy, be happy.

P/S: I really like the post no# 4.

We sometime define Happiness in one perspective only. Because we have been designed to think that if we have certain things (career, salary, relationship, marriage), we are definitely be happy; which sometimes it is not entirely true. The most important key of happiness is to be grateful and thankful for what we have.

Everything that happened has it own reasons. If you feel sad or down, try your best to change it and always pray to God. Semua itu anugerah atau ujian dari Tuhan. Semua yang berlaku ada hikmah disebaliknya. Enjoy everything that you do and live life to the fullest.

So, anyone out there especially the "anonymous"; just learns to let it go. There are other better people out there for us. We just need to look. Be happy. Enjoy life. Do things that you like to do. Go vacation. Change your style. Read a good motivation book. Go watch movies. Make new friends. And don't forget to pray. That the most important thing. Insya Allah, your fate will change :)
